In a slight change to my plans, the new site at www.studioxanda.com is now live but is still under construction. It was always my intention that it should always be a work in progress so bringing the launch forwards a week simply makes it easier for me as all updates will be on-line rather than off-line.
So...this site will be downgraded gradually over the coming months. As updated content is added to the new site, the corresponding content will be removed from this site. I hope that makes sense.
I am currently working on the Photography and Art pages of the new site and the first photos should be going up within the next couple of days. With Brett's test shoot acting as my template, that will be the first set on-line followed by each of the shoots I have done since then. This, I feel, will give visitors a reason for going there as the newest content (ie from this year's shoots) will only go on the new site. I am hoping to re-work some of the older stuff before posting it on the new site and as I think I said before, the new site will contain 1000 pixel photos.
I had intended to make the site adaptable, to accomodate different browser widths but in the end I settled for a compromise. It will resize but locks at about the 1024 pixel screen width (obviously a bit more for the photo pages themselves). This makes it less than ideal for mobile devices but I am, by way of compensation, trying to keep the site simple and lightweight with only the full-size photo pages being very big in terms of kilobytes.
